Today I made a trip to Collingwood that was not needed. I didn’t realise this until I got there. A shame, because I dislike wasting days with gorgeous blue sky weather, in the car.
So I had lunch in Smith Street and did a sketch of the shoptop across the road. Then I went to the Lost and Found Market around the corner and bought a set of placemats for $30….complete with dust.
They are very small and have these fantastic images of horse races circa 1950’s and imprinted upon the back, it says Made in England. Apparently they had been in the store for well over twelve months. It would seem that those north of the river are not taken by equine images.
All is good.
